Wouldn’t stay here again
The hotel staff is very kind at this hotel. However the property itself is not so good. The rooms are not very clean, also the sheets & towels are dingy. I would not stay here again. The breakfast is good and the location is good. The WiFi in the rooms is also bad. If you don’t really care about the room the price is right here. Just bring a long sleeve shirt and pants to sleep in.

Compared to other hotels in the same price range in Ubud, this hotel was a bit dirty and in poor condition. Especially the bathroom. Roosters in a chicken farm next to the hotel kept waking me up at 5 am in the morning. The service was good and the location was quite good as well.

Room was ok although lots of mosquitos on arrival. Staff brought spray which worked well. Decided not to have room cleaned next day so as to keep bugs out. Good wifi. Quiet. Staff were nice. Breakfast was very basic.

central tranquillity
right in the muddle of jalan monkey forest walking distance to all central ubud attractions but set back from road so quiet in hotel. Clean with friendly staff. Basic breakfast included. Perfect for a cheap central stay.

Booked a double bed,not available.Agreed trove us next day.We had to move our own luggage! Really!.Dirty glasses and uncleared bin in bathroom.Beds so bad that turning over woke my partner.Breakfast very limited.Did I mention gardening party starts at 06.10. Impossible to sleep in.Avoid this place

Great hotel very centrally situated
Wonderful hotel. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Had about 5 various choices for breakfast, and the ones we tried were fantastic. Wi-Fi did not work in rooms, but worked in restaurant. Pool was so lovely to cool off in. Free afternoon tea or coffee with desert (waffle) between 3 - 6 pm Half way between Monkey Forest and Ubud Markets - excellent spot.

What a shame!
Not very happy with the service! The place is beautifull but we booked a double bed and got a twin room, we had wifi for 20min of the 4days we stayed, we ordered food to the room and the order was incorrect so after paying for that we had to go out and pay for another dinner. And worse of all, in a hot country like this, they didn't once restock the fridge with waters, when questioned they replied "we ran out", so we went out ( 3 doors down to the right) and got some. Overall poor service!!! And that's a shame because the place is so stunning that a little more pride into the way they receive could make them amazing!

Central location but better places to stay...
Stayed with a friend for 3 nights while in Ubud. Location is good as you can walk out to Monkey Forest and up the main road to the Palace. Good for restaurants and shops. Bad as nestled in with many other buildings and lots of noise from roosters and locals awake at all hours. Room was ok, spacious and clean but fairly outdated. TV very old. AC worked well though. Gaps between doors and balcony so insects can come in easily (kept AC on full blast to discourage this as much as possible) but we did have lizards come in and got woken up by them going at it - very odd experience. Breakfast was good, can be served to room which is nice. Otherwise did not have any other food there. Place is ok, pool is good for a quick dip and little rest but not comfortable to relax by as it is small. Think it is worth going a little further out where you can appreciate the beauty of Ubud.

Great Boutique Hotel
Ianata is well situated so in 5 minutes you can walk to Monkey Forest in one direction and another 5 minutes to the flea market in the opposite direction. It's surrounded by cafes and bars. Highly recommended in my opinion.

Nice place to stay
Nice place to stay if you are planning on staying on monkey forest road. Rooms were a nice size, a/c worked great in rooms, pool was nice to cool down on the hot humid days, good selection of breakfast options. Unsure if I would stay on monkey Forrest road next time I'm in Ubud, to busy for my liking, but you can not hear the street noise from the hotel.

Monkey Hotel is a drag.
I arrived at the hotel at 9 30 pm after a long flight and 2 hour drive. When I arrived I was told that my room was "broken" and I would have to go to their other hotel 15 minutes away by car. I told them this was unacceptable as all my friends were staying at this hotel. They kept saying they didn't have another room and I kept saying that I didn't believe it and there has to be a room available as I made this reservation several months ago. After 45 minutes of the front desk making 3 phone calls they finally gave me a room. The room I reserved was with a double bed and the room they have available was with a queen bed, which is why I think they didn't want to give me that room because it cost more money. Although a different staff person apologized the next morning for the problem they not only lied to me about not having an unoccupied room, but they wasted 45 minutes of my time. I will not stay at this hotel again.

Great location and staff with some minor issues.
I booked the room with almost no advance notice. The location is ideal, right in the middle of Ubud's tourist area. Despite the location The hotel itself was very quiet. The best part of the hotel was the staff. They were incredibly kind and helpful. They helped me book a driver for the day to explore the island. There were some minor issues with English. The pool area was very nice and clean. The pool wasn't huge but big enough for a dip after a day in the hot Bali weather. The Wi-Fi worked at a decent speed. The single room was fine. The room was basic with minor wear issues. The only real issue was with the mattress. It was extremely firm. The A.C. Worked really well, which isn't always the case with hotels in Bali. The morning breakfast was good if not outstanding. You have to order your choice of meal the day before. The portions were ok. A buffet would have been nice but for such a small hotel it probably would not have been cost effective for the hotel. I General I was pleased with my stay considering the low cost.

Affordable hotel close to everything & great staff
We stayed at this hotel from 19-22 May. This hotel is in the middle of Monkey Forest Rd which is close to everything - e.g Dining, Monkey Forest, and Ubud market and Palace. Staff were helpful and friendly. We specially wanted to thank Boby who helped us to sort out the airport transfer problem - we booked a hotel pick up for airport shuttle bus with one of the tourist booth on street, but the driver did not turn up and missed our shuttle bus. Boby personally drove us by motorbike to the tourist booth to find out what heppended and helped us re-arrange the airport transfer. Thank you very much, Boby. The room was clean but the furnitures were old, and the bed especially needs to be replaced as it squeaked. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay with Inata Hotel

Most of the reception staff was friendly and helpful except for a couple of them. My tv wouldn't work so I phoned front desk for help. Someone came and couldn't get the tv to work, so said he will send someone the next day. No one came the next day. That night, I phoned the front desk again and the guy said he would come right away. After waiting for some time, I went to the front desk to see what was the hold up. 2 guys were sitting at the desk texting or playing with some electronic device. The thing that bothered me the most were the towels. They were grey and dingy - need to be bleached. It was a good thing I had brought my own towels because the hotel towels were too gross to use. I would recommend this hotel if they correct the above issues.

Lovely hotel, excellent location!
We only stayed for 1 night at the Inata but it was a very comfortable room with all the amenities. The terrace leads straight out to a path to a pool (although takes away some privacy as people often walk by). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the food was great.

Good hotel in central Ubud
New modern hotel in central Ubud, located behind the shops at Point Ubud. Lots of helpful and enthusiastic English speaking staff available at all hours. Rooms are well maintained and very clean. Nicely landscaped grounds with a good sized pool and sunning area. Adequately lit at night. A/C is weak an insufficient for the size of the rooms, expect to be able to bring your room down to 23 C or so, not the chilly A/C you might expect in hotels. The mattresses are somewhat old and uneven. There are also many small stairs and steps at this hotel. This may be an issue for people with limited mobility as they are unavoidable and there are not ramps or lifts.

The essence of Bali - Inata Hotel Monkey Forest Rd
Hidden behind the shops of Monkey Forest Road is a simple and charming hotel. 7 upstairs rooms and 7 downstairs rooms. We had room 101 - downstairs - and it was perfect. 2 king single new beds, sliding door that opened onto a balcony - down 2 steps, walk 4 steps to the right and we were at the perfectly clean pool and sun lounges. It is quiet, charming, relaxed to the max. The reception outside, is low key and not full of modern technology but staff are calm, helpful and efficient - just lovely. Breakfast was delicious - not smorgasbord - cooked freshly for you each day but you must choose the day before. No need for room service as the location is right in the middle of Monkey Forest Rd and just steps away from fabulous restaurants many of which have live music. Cocktails were not available but they did not mind you bringing your drinks poolside. Not really the place for families unless going out and about all day.

A great basic hotel in the centre of Ubud
We chose Inata as they had a sale on and we were just wanting basic accommodation but wanted to be in the heart of Ubud. It was ideal. We had a comfortable upstairs room with a nice big balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were Ok, we chose to eat elsewhere on one morning.

The hotel refused to refund me my money
I couldn't make it to Ubud due to visa issues and the hotel policy is to refund the money after taking the first night,but the hotel refused to do that and took the full amount from me which is not eligible

Cute and private hotel in the middle of Ubud.
Inata Hotel was very clean with wonderful staff. I was particularly surprised by how spotless and bugless the pool was. If I ever return to Bali Inata Hotel would be my first choice.

Good location. Friendly staff. Tidy (although a bit worn around the edges but good considering the price). We enjoyed our time at Inata but there was a stain on the sheet that was placed on our bed - too big to miss - which was quite yuck. Apart from this, we did have a good stay here. Free breakfast was good and nice atmosphere in the dining area.

Relaxing!
I loooooved this hotel. Right on the main road in Ubud, except the hotel is set far back so noise is not a problem. As others said, it's like an oasis of relaxing paradise. Beautiful relaxing music plays all day pool side/dining area (does not disturb rooms). Pool is large and gorgeous with deck chairs set up. Unlike a lot of Bali hotels, the pool is set a bit away from reception, which is nice, you don't feel like you're in the spot light. Huge balcony with drying rack provided. Great views all around. The breakfast is all delish! I stayed 6 nights and wish it was more. Near Monkey Forest, tonnes of restaurants. They arranged my cycling day trip. Everyone that works there is soooooo nice and lovely!! When I go back to Ubud I will 100% stay there again.

Pros - Staffs are very nice and kind, they are always willing to help, and theres no communication barrier. - room is clean - the veranda is a beauty - loved the hot water and bath tub - the bed and pillows are beautiful and clean - cable tv got a lot of channels to choose from - i love the pool its simple but very relaxing and quiet - the hotel is in the center of the jalan monkey street, on the left side theres a 7/11 like store, on the right theres a travel tours booth, the restos and bars are very near too. - eventhough it is located in the center of ubud, it is still tucked away inside that once your inside ur room u'll enjoy peace and quiet - breakfast is delicious, theres a lot of set to choose from Cons - there is no internet inside the room, according to the reception you have to come out to your veranda to try and see if you'll be able to connect, the brochure said otherwise though saying theres a fast internet inside the rooms. - the cable is broken on the 2nd day of my stay, i think the engineer is on it, but for a one whole day the cable is on and off, none a big daeal to me on the day time cause im always out and touring, but i got back at 10pm and the cable is still intermittent. - because there is no internet in our rooms, we all have to go to the lobby / resto to connect, the problem is the internet there is slow also, i always go to the some near bars and resto, grabbed a beer there just to be able to use a wifi.

We stayed for 4 nights and had a very good stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly, communication was sometimes an issue to over all a very good stay. We would consider staying there again if we went back to Ubud

This hotel is perfect if not for its wifi. The hotel itself is clean, spacious, and located in downtown Ubud where I had plenty of shops and restaurants to go to without a long walk. The ambience was just excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly, and shuttle service was available to drive us to places that was far away from the hotel.All was nice but the wifi was terrible.... I could connect to wifi in the restaurant but it was weak. Pretty much can't use the internet in my own room. Nevertheless I had a fantastic stay.

We were a little doubtful when we arrived outside the hotel, as it is located right on the mainstreet of Ubud. However, after a very short walk we were completely away from the noise and were right in the middle of a really nice, small, very quiet reception/restaurant area. It seemed almost serene, especially considering the fact that the noise from the road was completely gone! The room was great; quaint balinese style with a nice terrace and it was very clean! The decor was beautiful and the only downside was the beds. They were very hard and noisy. The brekky, which was included in the room price, was great; you ordered the night before and you could then either have it delivered to the room or eat in the restaurant next to the pool. I would definitely stay there again!
