“My stay was perfect. The staff and the food was tremendous. Benjamin the Chef outdoes himself every meal. You feel like your in a 5 star restaurant. The food is beautifully prepared and presented and it tastes good too! I have stayed at Ishasha Jungle lodge a sister lodge so expected it would be a nice spot to spend a few nights but it was even better than Ishahsha was. They gracefully served my Ugandan friend and her 3 children for lunch and didn't seem to mind the 3 kids zooming……

“The setting is amazing, the facility is world class and so beautiful, but the thing that was the most amazing is the staff. So kind and made sure we were taken care of. We hope to visit again. If you want to relax, there is no better place than Chobe.”

“We had meetings in nearby Lugazi and originally planned to stay in the town. However, when the option of staying in the nearby rainforest came up, I decided the cool of the forest and its quietness were a far better option.”

“My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived.……

“I am really, really tired of hotels claiming that they have ‘free wifi’ (I stay in hotels >300 nights per year). This hotel had only intermittent electricity (so no power to the small fan in the room at night). In 48 hour stay perhaps 2 hours of connectivity. I encourage Hotels.com to add a third category “wifi MAY be available””

“The facilities are new and beautiful. They overlook the small crater lake Munyanyange which hosts birds year round and lesser flamingoes in July/August. The staff are excellent. The chef is superb! Very close to a gate for Queen Elizabeth. Staff helpful in arranging tours and walks as desired. An up and coming location, I believe. It can be hard to find initially as Google maps doesn’t have the back roads of Katwe, only the main road. If a sign goes down, you will need to ask directions……
