"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area. "

"The hotel located a quiet corner of Toyama bay, not much activities nearby, however the hotel front view was superb with Tateyama-Kurobe snow capped range right infront. "Onsen is located on a river and surrounded by nature. Very picturesque. The food served was excellent, traditional cuisine, lots of variety, and plentiful. I appreciated the free shuttle service from the train station to the onsen, this needs to be arranged beforehand through the expedia booking platform. The room was clean.
