"La Finca La Amistad was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. The property is beautifully maintained and filled with an incredible variety of plants. As nature lovers, we were fascinated by the organic cacao farm and even got to see vanilla vines for the first time. The cacao tour was excellent and gave us a new appreciation for the work that goes into producing chocolate. Breakfast was included and featured plenty of fresh ingredients grown right on the farm. They did a wonderful job accommodating our vegan diet. We also enjoyed dinner there every evening. The menu changes daily, so each meal was a pleasant surprise. Everything was freshly prepared, delicious, and filling—honestly better than many restaurant meals. It was clear that great care went into every dish. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable, and had a balcony that extended into the forest. We loved sitting outside listening to the birds and wildlife day and night. The farm is conveniently located near Tenorio National Park, where we spent a day exploring. We also enjoyed horseback riding and swimming in the beautiful Celeste River. There is so much to see and do both on the farm and nearby that I recommend staying at least three days, if not longer. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. If you're looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience surrounded by nature, organic farming, wildlife, and adventure, La Finca La Amistad is a wonderful place to stay."

"Amazing property with stunning views snd limitless bird watching and wildlife from the balcony. Toucan, beautiful “parakeets”/parrots and so many other daily visitors. So much to do such as whitewater rafting, animal viewing friver floats, zip lining (outstanding and unique), coffee/ chocolate tasting and tour, ATV’s, horseback trips, and incredible scenery everywhere.Patrick and Alicia could not have been more gracious hosts. Patrick helped with planning everything and Alicia made the most amazing breakfast each morning. It is called the rain forest for a reason and the experience was exactly what we hoped for.There are also several extremely delicious restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive, including one (Gingerbread) which has some of the best food I have ever tasted. It is also a dining experience that is both unique and memorable!! Dinner and a show is an accurate description. Caution bringing young children or adults who are easily offended.Could not have more pleased with our experience and we are looking forward to another trip in October (hopefully) and a family vacation there next year!!"

"Place is absolutely gorgeous. We heard howler monkeys from the house every morning. Very easy to find and only 30 minutes away from Lafortuna. Great soda right down the road. Can't wait to come back!!"

"Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. The private trail was a moderate hike to a gorgeous waterfall and was a great taste of the beauty of the area without the crowds of Tenorio. Our 6 year-old loved seeing the red-eyed tree frogs, all the beautiful bugs & rocking in the hammock while the rains came and went. We brought a headlamp and walked the property at night, super cool. Just a jewel of a place, in a beautiful part of the country."
