Stayed here for a night. Orlando, the owner, welcomed us and showed us the room. He was very nice and hospitable. The room was clean, I liked the interior design of the suite we got. We met two kittens who were friendly. If you like cats, they will gladly enter your room. If you don’t, you might want to consider. They are very sneaky going inside, but they are cute. On the way up there after entering the gate, the roads were pretty rough. We had a car rental so we drove slowly down the hill. Overall, the stay was great. Quiet and the view was very pleasant. I would stay here again, but hopefully the road is better next time.

If you are passing through and need a place to stay, it should be fine. If you're looking for anything longer and plan on staying on property, you will be disappointed. This hotel has a lot of potential and once it is done may be great. For now, it is under a lot of construction. Also, when we booked this stay, the pictures and description did not match what we got. The only pictures posted at the time were of the Villa and not the suites. So, to walk up to the suites was very disappointing to say the least. No big pool and the individual pool we had wouldn't stay filled. They informed us it would need to be looked at after our stay. The room itself was decently clean. The shower had poor drainage and if you have long hair, the low water pressure made it difficult to wash out the soap. The listing also says the place has AC. To be specific only the bedroom has ac. Also, the entrance, it is ceiling to floor glass which is pretty. However, with no ac and no curtains it gets hot fast and has very little privacy. Also, the response time for important items could be improved. For example; we ran out of toilet paper and you don't have a front desk to visit. Everything is via messaging on what's app. The next day we got an apology asking if we got what we needed because the individual was out and didn't have access to their phone. Again, having an upset stomach and being in need of toilet paper. Bad client experience.

My stay at Destino Hotel was an absolute dream. The views were absolutely stunning, and the entire design of the property was gorgeous. It truly felt like paradise. Orlando was the best host, so warm and accommodating, making sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing and a highlight of the experience. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I’ll definitely be back!

This was a beautiful secluded villa in the mountains. The views were stunning. Our host was kind and communicative. The property is still being fitted with amenities, so expect some construction happening and amenities were hard to find unless you asked. Parking and roads were really bad so driving into and out of the property requires a vehicle with high clearance like an SUV. A sedan would be challenging.

If you enjoy unique places, Destino is a MUST DO! The photos are exactly what you get - no unpleasant surprises. The villa we stayed in for 3 nights has 2 bedrooms, each with an ensuite toilet and sink. Each has access to 2 showers, an indoor and an outdoor. The infinity pool was a fabulous way to cool down and relax after a day of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped for four people with full sized fridge, gas oven and stove, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, small drip coffee machine, stove top expresso maker, and a ricemaker. There's air conditioning that we used only at night for sleeping. Dining is el fresco with wonderful views from the deck. Orlando was an excellent communicator and was super helpful and accommodating. The location is a little off the beaten path, but honestly, that's definitely part of the charm! The dirt road is steep in places, but absolutely no issues in our rented rear wheel drive Toyota Rush. The landscape is fun to explore, with plenty of kilometers to walk. There is a view of the Rio Blanco and a path/steps down to it for those who are able. You don't want to miss a stay at Destino!

Wonderful in every way!

Our stay at Destino Hotel & Hot Springs exceeded all expectations. We escaped the busy tourist area near the beaches to find true luxury in this tranquil natural environment. We explored the surrounding countryside, villages, and attractions each day, then retreated to the comfort and beauty of our Villa. Magnificent sunsets each evening over the expansive canyons, carved by the river we could hear and see below, were thoroughly enjoyed as we soaked in our own private warm mineral water pools. There was even a path with stairs that led down through the trees and flowers to the river and a tiki-style picnic area. Tropical birds and wildlife thrive here too. The modern Italian-style kitchen in our Villa enabled us to enjoy the local fruit and vegetables and we even had fun shopping for groceries. With all the privacy in this seemingly remote location, it was amazing when we had a gourmet pizza and salads delivered to our door. The hospitality was spectacular. Our host couldn’t have been better at making us feel cared for and at home. He communicated perfectly and was always available for anything we needed. Even when we had a flat tire heading out for the airport, he was there in a flash to save the day. Wellness indeed and so much more!

Absolutely beautiful property in a totally private and stunning location - the photos do not do this place justice!!! Our host was so welcoming and generous, with the remote location he suggested great takeaway deliveries and we had delicious pizzas ordered to our door, however there is also a local town within driving distance to eat out. The roads we understand will soon be updated as other properties are built on the same site, currently it would be easier to access the property with a four wheel drive. There are gorgeous views everywhere you look from the property, a beautiful pool, bath, and the property is walking distance to the river too which we enjoyed. We were so so happy with our stay and couldn’t believe the value for money! Thank you! 😊
