"The hotel is shown on the map on Expedia as being located just below the Fortress in one of the few remaining historic areas of the city, very close to Stalin Museum, but it is actually located in front of the train station, across the river, 30 minutes away from the museum. And there is absolutely nothing to do or see in that area.
The bathroom had a terrible and persistent stench as if vapors were coming up from sewer.
finally, the blanket covering the bed was so narrow that any movement exposes you to the mattress pad."
"While the staff were friendly and helpful, the key thing “hot water” didn’t work in the shower or vanity. The water was slightly off being cold.
There were no shower caps supplied. When I asked for milk for tea & coffee they supplied it. "
"Very nice hotel in a wonderfully remote location – something worth noting, as there are no restaurants nearby and everything requires at least a 20–30 minute drive. For us, this was exactly what we were looking for, and part of the charm. The facilities are quite new and very comfortable, with a large, comfy bed and a spacious bathroom featuring a fantastic rain shower. The pool area is lovely, and the sauna and hot tub are available upon request.
The views are stunning. The on-site restaurant serves good food, though the selection could be a bit broader. Prices are on the higher side. What we missed was an appealing outdoor dining area – some spaces exist, but they didn’t feel very inviting. A nice open terrace would be a great addition. Similarly, for rainy or cooler days, an indoor relaxation lounge near the pool would make the experience even better.
Service was generally good, but we did notice that room service didn’t replace cups or refill coffee supplies. Overall, though, it’s a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect if you’re looking to get away from it all"
"Facility is basic, and we encountered a power outage from late afternoon to about 9 pm in the evening. Without power, water was also not available. With very limited English speaking skills, the staff were very nice and kind and tried their best to help 👍 The breakfast was also very simple. With the price we paid, a much higher quality of staying was expected."
