I was expecting better, based on “you get what you pay for"...
- One good point for the location. Very well placed near the shuttle stop, which puts you 2 stops away from the lifts, or 10 mins walk if you feel like enjoying the fresh morning chill.
- One good point for the management company, which was responsive to our questions / issues (such as the parking code changing the day before our arrival, the heat thermostat not working really well, etc)
- One point removed for the quality of the condo. It is in need of a serious remodeling. The heat thermostat took more than a day to bring the temperature to an extra 5 degrees, the walls have unplugged holes, the lights are way too bleak, the newest appliance is 20 years old, the windows are not well insulated and you can feel the cold air breezing through the edges, some wall and heater panels are getting loose, etc
- One point removed for the safety. Two of the glass doors do not close/lock properly. Meaning you can open them from the outside by just sliding them. The most urgent to fix is the one by the front door, which is openly accessible from the main hallway.
- One point removed for the misleading picture of the condo: the main picture with a view of a balcony is not a balcony. It is the main building hallway that leads to the elevator. In other words, everyone walks past your living room and you have zero privacy (unless you close the curtains during daytime).
I usually do not leave bad reviews (in the 10 yrs we have rented in Vail), but I would not recommend this condo.
