Comfortable family run hotel near the lake. My stay was made comfortable by the owner and staff, breakfast was hearty and the room spacious with a comfy bed.

Not at all what we expected.

The negative: 1. The pictures on Hotels.com are misleading. 2. The internet in the room did not work at all, apparently due to the rainy weather. 3. The spa was closed. 4. We never saw any welcome drink. 5. Poor information upon arrival, which led to us not realizing that breakfast was not served from 7:00 AM as it is at other hotels on weekdays, but from 8:00 AM. The positive: The view was fantastic. Parking was free and the breakfast was okay.

Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days.

Autentic Albergo in the mountains

A very nice two star hotel close to the mountains and the Como lake. The service and personel are very helpful and we had a extremly good dinner with som great Piemonte red wine.

Cozy hotel, very clean and nice staff.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as I was passing through. It’s a small village and not much to do, but a 10 minute drive and you’ll be down by the lake where there’s a restaurant you can eat and drink at - but you’ll need to drive there. The hotel was nice, the view lovely, the staff super nice - but there was no airconditioning which was terrible as it was extremely hot. I was not able to sleep well because of this. They were so kind and gave me a free glass of wine the first evening before heading down to the lake.

Questo albergo pedemontano, poco distante dalla frequentatissima e caotica Bellagio che sconsiglio, è una vera perla nascosta che segnero' tra i preferiti. Dotato di parcheggio e percorso wellness, camere semplici ma pulitissime, letti comodi, offre un gustoso servizio colazioni ed una carta ristorante da veri chef stellati. In dieci minuti di auto si arriva alla riva del lago in prossimità degli imbarcaderi per tutta la navigazione del centro lago. Assolutamente da evidenziare la massima gentilezza del titolare e di tutto il personale. Consigliatissimo.

Hôtel convenable près du lac de Côme

Hôtel pratique si vous êtes en voiture ! A quelques minutes du lac de Côme vous pouvez vous rendre aux plages un peu plus bas. Petit déjeuner simple mais qui nous a convenu. Chambre simple et dans son jus mais pour une nuit ça fait l’affaire ! Parking disponible mais pas pratique car très étroit ! Pour notre part nous avons préféré nous garer dans une rue en contrebas à quelques minutes seulement à pied !

Great staff and located not too far from the lake! Room was a little cramped and spots of mould in the bathroom. Breakfast was simple. Perfect for a night's stay, if passing through.
