"This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!"

"My son and I stayed here for a weekend to explore the fall leaf color. As a former VRBO host and a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say that this was my best stay ever. The studio is about one hour away from Grandfather Mountain and Ashville. We flew into Charlotte, which is also about an hour away. The drive to the property is pretty. The studio is a nicely converted basement and the hosts live onsite. There is a private driveway and entrance to the unit, so guests can have total...

"It's a large, clean room. The location is in ideal country setting, close to all the Hickory area has to offer. The host were attentive and responsive to any of our concerns. The only advice I would offer is have a couple of comfortable chairs and perhaps a microwave. Would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend."

"The studio is well-sized. Created from a garage, it is now a stunning pool house. The design is trendy and cool. It had everything we needed, plus extra thoughts from the owner, like little add-ons like suntan lotion for the pool. It is quietly placed behind a grand home in downtown Hickory. "Husband and I went for a quick getaway. Everything was clean and convenient. The cats were so sweet and nice company to have while you sat on the balcony and looked at the lake. The house was as described in the VRBO listing. The host was very attentive, checking in frequently. Entry and exit processes were very smooth.
