The property and room need updating. Painting the room, would be great. We were going to leave, but the staff was very courteous, and even offered our money back, so we stayed.

Everything was SO LOUD. This property (and several others nearby) are built 50-ft below the grade of I-10, which is 50-75 yards away. So you hear an amplified version of all of the road noise from the elevated freeway from all of the 18-wheelers coming through every minute or two. The room didn't shake, but I sure expected it to. We bailed at 2am after getting zero sleep since 10pm. I would avoid staying anywhere in Van Horn, period.

We reserved and paid for a ground level room with mobility access, king, bed, and non-smoking. Upon arrival we were told we were going to have to go upstairs, there were no ground level rooms available and that they had already been given out to other people, so then, what’s the purpose in specifying a particular type of room if it’s not going to be honored/available. it is very difficult for us to navigate stairs, that was the whole purpose in making a reservation from mobility, ground level room. And the young man at the counter was quite unfriendly, and not helpful at all, and his directions to the room stank. Cleanliness was NOT a top priority, either, the bed was comfy and room was quiet. Linen were quite soiled Didn’t feel comfortable using the towels, they could use a good bleaching!

We were not looking for much, just passing through but I do want a clean room. This was not. Thankfully I choose a room without carpet and could see the dirt. The towels were soiled/stained and we asked for replacements. They were marginally better. BUT the bed linens should have been in the garbage. They were stained beyond being useable! Shame on the management. When we went for our "breakfast" it was coffee/tea. No restaurants in town.....except McDonalds

Got a room there was water marks on the ceiling and a bubble should have never been rented the they gave me another room the top floors must of had flooded water stains not as bad as the first was really tired So I stayed
