A quiet corner in the "True Venice"

Comfortable apartment with a splendid view of the typical canal of Venice, with a glimpse of the Campo dei Mori, behind the church of the Madonna dell'Orto. Well furnished, with typical Venetian flooring, wooden furniture in style that refers to the classic Venetian. Very welcoming and practical for a couple of travelers. Located in a quiet and typical area of Venice in the Cannaregio district. Easily reachable from the train station even on foot in 15 minutes, from the Piazzale Roma terminal with the ACTV vaporetti in 20 minutes, from Marco Polo Airport with the Alilaguna motorboat Orange line in 20 minutes (first stop). well served by numerous grocery stores, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, and a small local fruit, vegetable and fish market. There are numerous restaurants, typical taverns, bars, pubs, where you can taste the typical products of Venice, cicchetti and spritz. The area is a few minutes from the Jewish ghetto and there are numerous artistic works to be visited nearby (Opere del Tintoretto, Tiepolo, Palazzo Mastelli, Scuola della Misericordia). Rialto and San Marco can be easily reached on foot in 20/25 minutes of pleasant walk.
Final cleaning of € 40 + tourist tax of € 1.50 per person are excluded from the price. Children under 10 do not pay, from 10 years to 18 years pay € 0.75.

Quiet Cannaregio Apartment

The third floor apartment is spacious, comfortable, convenient, accessible to downtown, and has good amenities. The host/owner greeted us upon arrival, showed us the apartment (the next level above her apartment), was friendly, helpful, and bade us farewell after our four-night stay. The washing machine was useful to us, the air conditioning worked well keeping us cool at night, and we ate dinner at neighborhood restaurants along the canals. We highly recommend this apartment for Venezia accommodations.

Two flights of stairs to climb with luggage, not mentioned in description. This property only suitable for fit travelers, traveling light. Bring your own bath soap, not provided. Otherwise it is a lovely place, easy to find and quiet neighborhood with many dining options. We also found the hidden store “PRIX” to stock up on breakfast, beverages and snacks.

This apartment is in an amazing part of Venice. We could definitely avoid the tourist crowd. We couldn’t wait to get back into the neighborhood when we adventured further out… the neighborhood restaurants remember you - so super friendly!!! All grocery and fruit markets super close, The apartment itself is just amazing- spacious, light and airy- i will recommend to all my friends traveling to Venice!!

We had a lovely stay in Casa Aurora. Giovanna and Carlos were very helpful in communicating with us, with good instructions of the location. The apartment had everything needed for our stay. It is bright and clean and with many books and needed maps. I would highly recommend their lovely place.

Very Nice Apartment

The apartment was very nice and cozy. It was on the 3rd floor (2 floors above the ground floor) with the owner on the floor below in case we had any issues which we did not. The apartment was quite conveniently located near the water bus stop at Madonna d'Otra. The neighborhood was quiet and cute. We had a great time and would be happy to rent the apartment again sometime.

Great location

Great location, very convenient from the airport, as waterbus stop is only a few hundred meters away. Quiet residential area with restaurants and supermarkets nearby, not far away from all major sightseeing spots, and great for trips to the islands Murano, Burano, San Michele and San Erasmo. Hosts are very friendly and easy-going. Spacious rooms, very comfortable bed, all necessary items available. Do not miss the great art in the neighboured church Madonna dell Orto!

Lovely and away from the crowds

The apartment is spacious and tidy. We loved the quaint neighbourhood which had alot of great restaurants and bars. It was lively but much quieter than the crowded tourist areas. Einfach wunderbar!

Wir waren rundum zufrieden und hatten eine fantastische Zeit in Venedig. Giovanna war eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, zuverlässig, sehr lieb und fröhlich. Die Wohnung war praktisch und sauber. In der Nähe ist ein Supermarkt und wir haben auch ab und zu gekocht. Das beste ist der Blick auf den Kanal, wo ich viel damit verbracht habe, das alltägliche Leben auf dieser Wasserstrasse zu beobachten. Nachts sind wir runtergegangen und haben die Füsse ins Wasser gehangen und den Möven gelauscht. Abends lieben wir auf der Fondamenta della Misericordia am Kanal zu essen, cicchetti und viele andere Köstlichkeiten, etwas weg vom Massentourismus. Der Stadtteil Cannaregio ist fantastisch und man ist trotzdem schnell im Zentrum. Auch Venedig früh um 5/6 erkundet, ganz leer und ruhig, war ein Traum. Alles in allem semplicemente fantastico! Danke!

Ruhige und schöne Unterkunft als Basis zur Erkundung Venedigs

Die Wohnung entspricht exakt der Beschreibung und den Fotos. Sie liegt sehr ruhig im zweiten Stock eines Hauses an einem der Kanäle und ist gut mit einem Wassertaxi von Flughafen aus zu erreichen. Im Haus lebt auch die Vermieterin, die gerne Tipps für den Aufenthalt gibt. Von der Wohnung aus kann man in der näheren Umgebung nette kleine Restaurants und Läden erreichen, zu Fuß kann man auch die Rialtobrücke und weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten erwandern. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und sehr froh, dass wir hier untergebracht waren. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles funktioniert und die Ausstattung, einschließlich der Küche, ist für ein städtereisendes Paar genau richtig!
