Good location but very tired
The hotel is in a lovely location and the room was clean. There was also plenty of parking.
The hotel does not have the name up clearly initially you think you are at the wrong place; would have been very frustrating if trying to find in the dark.
The hotel is generally very tired and in need of a major refurb, everything is very dated.
The pool is at the hotel next door and is nice, although when we used it at 7:30am the stated opening time we had no lights anywhere in the pool building. The pool was fine but no light in changing rooms and toilets.
I was staying in the area for hiking. It's a lovely area and this is a large, comfortable hotel out of season. The room was basic, but perfectly clean and functional, though it took a while to get hot water in the morning. It's clear they were under-staffed, however. Dinner took 2.5 hours in the restaurant as the one waiter was so busy with a large party of diners, and even getting a drink in the bar involved waiting to find someone.
