Expectation and reality did not coincide at all. The price does not match the quality. The photos on the site do not match. It was said that there were breakfasts, but they didn't turn out. At night, a fire alarm went off, which scared everyone. I bet a plus for cleanliness and updated rooms. Otherwise, I'm not happy!
This property is really old. Breakfast is not good , front desk not friendly, check out time 11 AM that’s not acceptable, overall poor evening is poor I don’t recommend at all

The PierPont Inn is on hold for renovation, so I was told.
The rooms are dated and smell old. The bathroom had broken tile and old grout stains. Cold air coming into through the window. The heater is old and when it kicked on it sounded like a diesel engine running in our room.
The king size bed mattress felt like a foam bed topper, with a very thin duvet cover. There was no extra blanket anywhere in the room. Towels were thin and small.
Over all experience. I will not stay there again.

The staff was nice but the up keep of the property is horrible use to be great lived in the area for 30 years came to visit they had a great resturant. so sad.The room was so musty and shower had no pressure.

The people at the front desk were very accommodating from booking to check in. I had a great room with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. I have been to this hotel several times throughout the years as it suits my needs. The property itself is far from perfect as the rooms need updating The location is fantastic, easy walking distance to the beach and a short drive to the harbor and restaurants. I had a good brief stay and will most likely return.

This hotel and hotels.com will gouge you if you mistakenly book with them. I booked the wrong date and city then tried to get a refund immediately after I booked but they kept putting it off stating upper management needed to deal with this issue then they ended up just penalized me for my honest mistake and only refunded less than half of the amount I paid.
Make sure you book the right hotel and place before hitting that purchase button because you won't get your money back or if you do just a small amount.
What a disservice to people. Will never stay here or recommend

Many years ago I worked in Ventura and the Pierpont was a special local landmark. They are working on it, but have not yet been successful bringing it back. There was no warning that it was virtually impossible to find how to check in. You have to wander around in the dark. Old Ventura has a problem with mold due to the Pacific dampness and my room here has it in spades. The room was randomly assigned so I have to assume that all of the rooms have severe mildew smell. They have done a great job of updating and making it look cute, but with the smell and things like a non-functioning coffee maker, my stay was okay at best. The bed is comfortable. They need a blanket. The coolest thing is the fireplace in the room. I do wish them well but I will not be coming here again.

I guess a remodel is in progress, but it’s still quite rough.
Super spacious room (dbl queen suite) but the furniture is trashed. Could have been pulled from a dumpster. Bed were comfortable though. There was also a rank odor throughout the unit. We bought and used 3 air fresheners. Fabulous location and views, but it’s very old and in need of complete renovation.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The water from the sink smells like rotten eggs. I believe it’s coming from old pipes. The water pressure in shower is poor. The breakfast was ok.

The inn is in a great location and you can tell at one point it was a great property. Super close to the beach and a quick drive to downtown Ventura. But the whole inn is in need of an overall upgrade. I didn't have breakfast however my mother in law said it was disappointing. I would stay here again and would hope next time there is warm water for the shower.
