「So the actual place was really nice, good location, lovely beach and pool and we upgraded to half board which was more than worth it, although it clearly got better and more effort was put in when it started to get busier towards the end of my weeks stay, the only but fairly big let down was the beginning. 「Stayed 2 nights. Walkable to the beach both the public area and the private clubs where you can rent an umbrella/cabana. Beach is sand (gets very hot - need flip flops or water shoes). Drivable to grocery store and other small towns. It’s like being in a resort (apparently it used to be a hotel). Great views.」

「My stay at Villa Maya was wonderful.
It was very easy to find the location.
The check in and communication were very pleasant and easy. The staff was kind and helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable.
The grounds were gorgeous.
The breakfast was fantastic and included a wide range of options.
I would absolutely recommend Villa Maya.」

「Lovely property, beautifully furnished in an elegant style. Nice bar around the corner open till late, but needed to go into the city to find somewhere to eat
Our only issue was the advertised pool was not open, though clearly had been
When we asked about it the owner said no
We went down to the pool area to sit out and he was there covering it up so clearly had been open」
