「Staff was helpful. We did want to use the pool but it was closed all 4 days we were there. I’m sure it was closed for safety reasons. Still we didn’t get to use the pool or sundeck. I wish we could have a do over.」

「I am a Hilton Honors member and so have stayed at a whole string of the Hilton chain hotels over the past couple of years. Places like the Hampton Inn, the Hilton Garden Inn, etc. I was so impressed by this Wingate Hotel and even told the front desk that the layout, the functionality of things, the amenities that are available, the cleanliness of everything, even the smell of the hotel in every part of it that I went through was clean and fresh. I was impressed with the room in every aspect. And...

「Our room was very clean and refreshed each day. The entire staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was adequate with a variety of fresh food choices. The facility in general is clean and comfortable, but in need of some maintenance and refurbishing. The outdoor eating area is sorely in need of a power washing. Free shuttle to the Colonial Village is easily accessed from the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 」

「Look, if you're just looking for a place to crash/sleep when visiting Williamsburg and aren't too picky, or a "Karen", this place will suffice. Otherwise, you may want to look elsewhere. The property overall does not match the outside façade or lobby. The room was typical hotel "meh"...nothing exceptionally good OR bad about it. The "Continental" breakfast ended up just being orange juice and coffee. But the only real, legitimate complaints I can offer are that the pool water desperately...
