Our family has faced some near tragic health scares in the last two years with one son having a brain tumor and one son having a major heart attack, so this gathering was extremely important to my husband and I to have our entire family all together to celebrate an early Thanksgiving. The house itself is beautiful and the location is perfect. What we found irritating was the lack of communication in a timely manner from the host. I had to call to get instructions on checking in once we were on the property. I received the entrance code prior to arrival but that was it. I also messaged host to ask for check in instructions Friday morning and didn’t hear back from them until Saturday morning. We were very disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of the house overall. There were cobwebs in all ceiling lights and fixtures and the back deck was covered. We had to wash glasses before we could drink from them because they were dirty and smelled sour. We also had to wipe cabinets out because they had a white powdery substance all over the shelves. Two of the four chairs in the back deck were broken (you sink down in the chair). The bathrooms could use some serious attention as well. The dollar tree toilet paper holder in the primary bath broke the first night we were there. The shower heads spew water and are practically inoperable. The one upstairs spews water out of the handle as well as the shower head. There are nails sticking out of the ramp on the left side to the dock.
