Both are favourites for their gently sloping sands and safe swimming, and there are glorious walks along the South West Coast Path with splendid views across to Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight. Climb aboard the Swanage Railway steam train from Corfe Castle and enjoy a stroll down the seaside resort’s delightful Victorian pier or a boat trip along the coast. Durlston Country Park (6 miles) is a wonderful clifftop nature reserve with a visitor centre, while Worth Matravers (4 miles) is a picturesque setting of limestone cottages clustered around a village green and duck pond.

Parking is on a first come, first served basis on the road opposite the property, with more parking on a nearby side road.
