My extended family rented this house for the weekend. I run an airbnb myself in Boston and I was so dissapointed with this property because it has so much potential! The house is a short walk to the ocean, very private, and has a nice view of the ocean. However, besides the beds being freshly made, the whole house was extremely dusty, unmaintained, and difficult to stomach. My husband has allergies to dust and mold so needless to say we left to sleep at home (over an hour) and then returned the next day. The tub on the fist floor was clogged and when trying to bath my niece it filled up with brown water and grime from the pipes. The top floor has walls made of particle board, thrown up to create rooms. We couldn't even stand up straight in the hallway because of the roof. The stairs are extremely dangerous for little kids because they don't have a banister! The kitchen was full of ants and contained cooking tools that were extremely old and knives that were very dull. Furniture is old, dusty, and stained - GROSS!! The owners offer kayaks, but have life jackets that are decaying and moldy. A very dangerous place for kids! Full of poison ivy outside. There was an old rusty pipe next to the back stairs that a child or adult could have impaled their foot on. It seems as if no one is taking care of the house, maintaining it or even keeping it remotely safe! The electricity went out and we tried to call the owners? Couldn't reach anyone. It seems to be run by a conglomerate (Vacasa???) For $700/night, this place was an absolute disgrace! You would be better off camping in the yard. (Keep the tent closed though because there are a TON of mosquitos!)
