「It was a lovely little place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. The property had what we needed. The only thing lacking was the hole in the fly screen on the back door which let the flies in. The place itself was beautiful. I would go back.」

「The house accommodation was ideal for our family. Plenty of room and just a short drive to the centre of Port Fairy shops and restaurants. The large grounds provided privacy and the large spa was an added feature. Highly recommended. 」

「Gorgeous property. Very warm and comfortable, we stayed in winter so warmth was important! Great, secure backyard for our dogs. Perfect location, we walked everywhere.」

「We had such a lovely time at Simons 1850s Goldies cottage.Perfect for us, and our 2 big dogs loved the big fenced yards.They gave Simon plenty of licks when he came to show us the workings of the gate etc.We hired bikes and it was an easy 1.6km ride to town along the old rail trail.Watched some lovely sunsets and enjoyed one of the 3 fire places in the cottage on several nights.We certainly hope to return in the future and maybe do the whole rail trail from Port Fairy to Warnambool」

「This cottage was so beautiful close with the sister cottage but couldn’t hear them at all so you wouldn’t even know they were there! Amazing weekend away」

「From the moment we walked into the cottage, we felt right at home. Lyneve had made sure the cottage was cool on the hot day we arrived - blinds down and fans on. The cottage is so close to the town centre you can walk there. Off street parking is a bonus. We stayed 4 nights and cooked dinner for ourselves during that time as well as going out to eat. Lovely decor and all amenities.」

「John was very polite and very respectful showed us around the property allowed kids to feed the calf’s. Overall we are very happy with our stay at The stables . Definitely coming back to the property.」

「We so enjoyed our stay in this well appointed accommodation with views of the Moyne River and moored boats. Stroll along the river and walk to Griffith Island or walk into town for coffee or a meal . Central location in this picturesque town but at night so quiet we could hear the roar of the sea.」

「Absolutely lovely. A few quirks but overall, a beautiful property with lovely historical aspects. Would highly recommend to anyone who would like a quiet, relaxing and immersive Port Fairy stay. Would book again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! 」

「The location is excellent in terms of proximity to river, beach and township. The only thing to be wary of for next 6 months is that the neighbouring property is being constructed so tradies there by 7am - so don’t expect quiet sleep ins! Yard was a little small for our fur baby but plenty of easy beach walks made up for it. Watch your head on back door if you are 6 foot tall or more! Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful town.」
