Nice hotel but rooms very small. Note: double bed reservation will land you in a room with bunk beds. Be aware! Rooms sparsely appointed, but clean, quiet and safe.

The stay at The Moxy was everything it said it would be! The staff was amazing. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. It’s located in a good area. Within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, as well as all the big landmarks. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying again.

When I arrived staffing was limited, we had to wait a while to be checked in and for valet even though we were the only ones checking in at the moment. Over all staff was friendly at check in and the place seemed nice and clean. However day 2 we needed clean sheets and the place still seemed excessively short staffed for the amount of customers waiting to be helped. We asked for sheets and the lady said okay in a short dismissive way. We waited about 45 minutes then called the front from our room to just ask once more thinking maybe they were busy and forgot. She rudely said “yes you’ve already asked once and I told them” it took us 5 hours to receive our clean sheets. Then we noticed roaches and bugs in our room. One large alive roach crawling under our bed. The place was constantly crowded and we could hardly get in and out of the elevators and around the bar to leave the area as everyone was crowding around the front. It just created a stressful and uncomfortable experience. The purpose of my trip was to be able to relax with family for 2 days and we really just wanted somewhere we could stay in our room and relax and maybe go down to the bar for some drinks and food but with the roaches and bugs, and the lack of service and constant crowds it was not a good experience at all. I would not book here again.

Fighting for the elevator with general public seeking the rooftop bar was annoying as hell. I felt like they were treated as more desreving then hotel guests.

Definitely a unique place to stay. Three restaurants to choose from. The bar has games to play like scrabble, jenga, chess, scuffle board, foosball and air hockey. The rooftop was cool too

The Moxy served my needs! Good area to stay and plenty of places for food and drinks! I had a King Size bed but area very small to navigate to other side of bed! No closet or space to put things in! One night table!

The moxy hotel looked promising from the reviews. I just wanted a clean hotel. Everything else seemed okay, but the cleanliness was not great. The vents had so much dust, the bathroom shower and floor had grime and dirt on the corners. It's obvious that house cleaning does not take it's time to clean well. I had to request a room change. It's a beautiful hotel, but they have not managed to maintain it well. They need to do some work in the bathroom, clean the showers well. I shouldn't see a spec of dust for the money that I paid. The staff is very pleasant though and the lobby area is cool. It is VERY noisy at night, due to events and a rooftop above the 10th floor. If you are sensetive to noise, don't stay here. The walls are paper thin, I could hear someone opening up their blinds. Other than that, the hotel is located in a GREAT area you are super close to everything!!

We came to Washington , D.C. to celebrate our 30 years of wedding anniversary. Our room was located at the 13th floor, under the bar on the top of the roof. So the whole night we had to listen to extremely loud music and creaking chairs above. The same experience had my daughter whose room was nearby at the same floor. The hotel management explained to us that the music dynamics were located on the bar's floor exactly above my room #1309. So, that was a terrible experience of saying at this hotel.

I liked the downtown location and environment friendly design and operation of the hotel. I also liked the diverse staff and customers at the hotel. The only thing I did not like was the bed frame that had square corners that you could bump into. Also the hotel breakfast options are limited.

They give me free drinks coins at the check in but they still charged me for my drink and tip twice, the bartender kept talk to his coworker never looked me in the eyes and took very long time to attend me for ordering. Left cash tip and the coin and also left my room number and signed the check, after checking out I received charge in my card for a drink and tip.

Way too small, shower amenities sucked, could hear everything due to the thin walls. Wouldn’t stay here again. Also, parking is not included like it says. It’s $60 for valet overnight

First I'll start by saying the valet was the person who greeted me and was so wonderful and all around perfect customer service. The style of the hotel is cool, and the rooms were nice. I loved the free welcome drink but I'll be honest, the night life, come Friday night was VASTLY different from the day. The food was not the greatest but that was at the bar. I would probably stay here again but I'd be aware of the fact that nights on the weekends give a different experience.

The Moxy hotel staff was amazing. They were very helpful, kind, and responsive. The hotel itself is clean, funky, and perfectly located in the heart of DC. I will definitely be staying at the Moxy in DC again!

I waited at the check in desk to be helped for a long period of time. This was about 6pm on a Friday night, with many people in the lobby, so it was strange to not have at least one person there to receive guests. Eventually the woman appeared and I was able to check in after waiting for a while. For the entire stay, the wifi did not work. I was directed to a help line, which I called multiple times, but eventually was told it was being ‘fixed’ and there was nothing they can do. The wifi never did end up being fixed and did not work while I stayed there. Upon reading other reviews, this has been a consistent issue and has been happening for at least 2 weeks. The room itself was extremely small, with barely room to move around. Would not stay again, there are better places to spend your money in DC.

The people staying above us were making so much noise and yelling in the early morning between 4-6:00 AM. It sounded like domestic violence. They did this the three nights I stayed at this hotel. No one from security came to silence them.

The staff was friendly. The room was so tiny, I could barely walk around. I had to put the chair in the hallway. It was just my dog & myself and we were literally tripping over each other due to the smallness of the room.
