Tranquility

The cottage is one of the most serene and tranquil places I imagine I’ll ever have the chance to visit. My wife and I have stayed on five separate occasions…and we keep coming back because of the calm and peace we have when visiting. If you are in need of unplugging and relaxation, you will not find a better location.

Great stay

Great stay in a relaxed place. Beautiful remote home made for a great weekend retreat away from busy Cincinnati for my wife and me. Only hiccup was not having the check in code upon arrival. Possible I missed the email. After 10 to 15 minutes of trying to contact host and call Vrbo, I got the code, and all was fine.

Girls' Trip

The house was wonderful!! Very clean and relaxing. It was a fantastic place to unwind after hiking all day. The deck was the perfect place to do a bit of yoga or read a book. I hope to stay again in the future.

Wonderful Nature Getaway

I just took a quick 24 hour respite from Cincinnati to be in nature and I was not disappointed. It's like the whole house is the screened in porch to watch a meadow and woods. I walked to the Inn referenced in the right up and it was phenomenal, and I just really enjoyed the simplicity of it.

Unique and beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful weekend at Crosset Cottage. Appreciated the design, all the light that gets in the cabin and connection with nature. We also truly enjoyed the serenity around, and the hiking opportunities in this region, including Edge of the Appalachia preserve and Shawnee state park. Would gladly stay again!

Clean and peaceful retreat

The cottage is clean, modern and new. We especially liked the big windows looking out on the surrounding woods and meadow. Peaceful, quiet and comfortable. We didn't miss not having a fire ring or a TV. We would stay again anytime!

Gorgeous house in a secluded location perfect for a getaway weekend. Lots of nature to explore plus Murphin Ridge is just down the road for breakfast and dinner. We loved the house's modern aesthetic, floor-to-ceiling windows, and how well it blended with the surrounding property. We'll be back!

Beautiful space. No TV or internet , but that was okay! We did find a few large black ants and mouse poop on a bed pillow. But hey, we are so close to nature. Would definitely stay if in the are again. ✌Pam

Nice Country Weekend

The property was outstanding. Sitting on deck we saw lots of wildlife. Highly recommend this property for a nice getaway. My only negative is not having a contact number for the owner in case something happened . We did have email but responses were slow. We would definitely come back.

Mouse feces in our bed! Owner was not helpful in resolving issue.

My girlfriend and I came here for a relaxing getaway. As we were getting ready for bed, we noticed there were mouse feces in the bed, and under the pillows. It was late at night (and we were 4 hours away from home) so there wasn't much we could do except for sleep on the couch. I made James, the owner, aware of the situation and sent him pictures of the mouse feces, yet he was not willing to work with us in resolving the issue . He did apologize and I told him I appreciated him apologizing, but that an apology doesn't change the unpleasant experience we had. I asked James for a refund. He informed me that the committee would not approve a refund because we spent the night, and he also had information that we had slept in a bed. (Was he watching us or have cameras in the house?) James then proceeded to accuse me of lying and trying to scam him, when I very clearly sent him pictures of the feces in the bed. James has not taken any other steps to try and rectify the situation. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless it came under new management. I can't believe how rude James was and his lack of customer service and overall attitude towards a customer. Avoid this place at all costs and take your money and business elsewhere.

No communication with property manager.

The day before we were scheduled to arrive I got an email message about the property. I sent a text message requesting the door entry code. Then I called and texted him numerous times for the code….no response! When I arrived at the house; the door was locked. Fortunately a neighbor was nice enough to make a phone call and got me the code. We never heard from the property manager. Communication could have been better.
