It was a really nice place. In our case there was no one else there so we were able to hang out in the main downstairs area which was pretty nice. The staff we needed help from were very responsive as well. I honestly would recommend staying here as the views from the front porch at night and during sunset are amazing!

We stay here every Summer for a few days while we climb the tall peaks in the area. Could not ask for a better base camp for an alpine start and a comfortable end to a day in the high country.

I was in town for a very short period of time, but the Lamp Post Lodge was perfect. Easy access and everything worked flawlessly. The views are reason enough to come back!

A bit lacking

The “kitchen” was only a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee pot. One cannot cook food there. There was NO STAFF on site. There was NO Garden or vineyard. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The building is close to a busy/in-the-morning highway. The check-in process is confusing.

Place was very comfy and quiet. The lobby was beautiful. Loved having the refrigerator to put my things in to keep cold. Only things that could have made it perfect would be mini refrigerator in the room and a business center with computer an printer would have been such a big help.

The windows didn’t open! No breakfast. The casual lights on and across from the property were a distraction for any real appreciation of the night viewing of Stars. The property was very nice. Very clean.

Beautiful outside. BUT. Only accessible with a key code. NOT STAFF ON DUTY AT ALL. NO GUESTS, just us. My wife was freaked out by the totally empty facility with NO SERVICES. And they refused us a refund. Stay away from this place.

Nice place.

Nice big room. No AC installed yet. Room was 78 degrees when I got there. Lots of goodies in the room. Hot water heating plate is used to make instant coffee. Tv channels available leave something to desire. Clean-self check-in. Owners responded to my text on temp right away. Shared kitchen in main area. It’s my second stay there. Not a lot of options in Westcliffe but this is probably the best for the $$.
