"I loved my two nights at Rey Alfonso - what a lovely hotel. The breakfast was really nice, and the bed was super comfy. But what made the whole thing really good were the staff. They were so helpful and friendly, it just made the stay truly fun. It really didn't harm that the hotel is right in the middle of the city, which made it easy to walk to all the places we wanted to visit. "

"This place is absolutely awesome! The availability to the hotel's restaurant was ever present and the prices were better than competitive against restaurants in Malaga. There's a beautiful outdoor area around the pool (real grass) with lawn chairs and thatched. Cross a walkway (not a street) and you're on the beach. They have a gym and an indoor pool (that we didn't use) and a professional masseuse that we did use. Again, no gouging on the price of the massage< basically half of what you'd pay on a cruise ship. The floors are all marble, every floor, every room. The bed was comfortable and the tv had a couple channels in English that wasn't news. Finally, a HUGE thank you to Lucia. Lucia checked us in 6 hours after check in was supposed to happen...and that was the easy part. Immediately upon arriving at the Malaga train station, I used my credit card at the only ATM in the train station mall. We get in the cab and Master Card sends me a text that I'd just charged the remaining balance of my card. We get to the hotel and I'm livid and talking with MC and Lucia is watching this. I was so into trying to get my card fixed, I left my wife with Lucia to get our room. I was no fun to be around, but Lucia just made it better, and 5 minutes later the card was fixed, and all was good. We stayed 2 additional nights because of our experience with Lucia and the wonderful facility. "
