"We really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and calming, the trees blowing in the wind around us was a calming lovely sound. Our only issue was the kettle leaking every time you poured a drink and the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed as soon as got on the bed it came off the mattress when trying to put back on you could get one side down but it pulled it away from other end so bigger fitted sheet and definitely deeper fit other than this it was amazing and just what we needed "

"This was a very nice one bedroom flat that had everything we needed for our stay. Our flat was on the top floor and with heavy luggage it was a bit of a challenge but overall we enjoyed out stay very much and would recommend it to others that want to explore York."

"The hotel itself is lovely. Rooms are really nice - big bed, very modern decor. All great. The only thing is we chose this place for the fact that it lists it has parking but there definitely isn’t and parking nearby is £25/24 hours, which the hotel doesn’t comp. "

Lovely hotel and very central

"Arrived & checked in, we were lucky that our room was ready. Room lovely & big, large picture windows & big comfy beds (although rather low). All facilities were provided - hanging space and coat hangers, kettle, smeg fridge, refreshments, hairdryer, iron & board and a safe. Bit disappointed that there was no complimentary water! Bathroom was lovely, had a huge walk in shower. Staff were lovely and helpful & breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. There was also an outside area with tables and chairs to sit in the sunshine and enjoy your drink or take in the evening stars. Lovely big lounge area to sit abd relax after a day smooching round town and down the cobbled streets. We were surprised at how central we were to everything - the Shambles were just around the corner and there were a couple of cash points as well as a Tesco and Sainsburys on the same road, along with lots of different places to eat All in all a fab place to stay, would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back to stay again"

Viking odyessy to the Raddison in York.

"Solo trip to beautiful and vibrant historical York and my stay at the Raddison Hotel was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The staff were friendly and professional, room was spotlessly clean, the view from my riverside window was fabulous and the service overall was very good. I would recommend staying at this hotel."

First-class hotel all the way.

"We were in a suite in the older part of the hotel. Room was beautifully decorated yet with comfort and practicality in mind. Staff members very helpful; room was clean and well appointed (without the "old building" smell that permeates some older hotels). Breakfast must be ordered in advance but well worth the cost (best we had throughout a UK vacation). Location was excellent."

"Well was nervous booking, but we actually loved our couple of days stay. When booking in got a slight upgrade from two singles sea view to a family seaview(double and a single). The price we payed is what we usually pay at a Travelodge, to have a room with a lovely sea view in a magnificent building was great value. Second night after a lovely meal at an Italian restaurant nearby we returned to the hotel for a few drinks , we then went thru to the ballroom and watched an ABBA tribute act again adding to the amazing value. As you can guess we enjoyed our stay, and we will hopefully return sometime next year. "
