「We stayed in room 17, parrot room. Very large space. TV was obscured by 4 poster bed frame, would be better above mantle.
The room is by the front door, and the room above must be wooden floored as we heard a lot of footsteps/lpud thuds on the ceiling.
We paid £3 for a parking permit for the W zone, but didnt find a parking space so ended up at the leisure centre - 10 min walk away

「Nutshell is a really lovely little place to stay, ideal for couples and close to the town. There was a bit of noise on Halloween but that’s to be expected in Whitby - the other two nights were very quiet.
We’ll definitely book again.」
「I really liked this, used to live in Whitby so like coming home. The food is excellent apart from Trenchers which was down on last years although the service was good.
My bedroom was superb - beautifully done using all options there for you.

「Lovely little cottage. some damp but I suppose it is to be suspected with the age and location of the building. Windows are a bit stiff, but the kitchen window should be opened due to lack of an extractor. There was no soap, but everything else we needed was provided. The location was excellent and access was easy, aside from parking but we managed OK.」

The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most.
A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps.
The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose."
