「We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. 「The room was very clean and comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained and there was a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was let down by the breakfast. The bacon was excellent, my sausage was pink in the middle so I only ate half, the mushrooms were tinned or something similar, the tomato wasn’t cooked and the potato things were frozen.
