「It is a nice rustic cabin to stay in, but it has the amenities you need, including good Wi-Fi - as long as a teenager doesn't unplug the router to plug in a fan. We used it as a base camp to fish area lakes, but it would be a good place to take a smaller outdoor oriented family. There's a lot of yard and a really nice lake with very nice sandy bottom and relatively good fishing.」

「We had a truly wonderful and peaceful stay at this cabin. The location is incredibly pristine — deep in the woods, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing retreat. The cabin itself was very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a clean, inviting hot tub/jacuzzi. We even saw deer nearby, which added to the charm.The nearby lake is beautiful, with crystal-clear water. We loved that it was private and had free access to canoes and kayaks. There’s also a connected lake that felt even more secluded...

「Great location, cabin was very clean and fairly spacious. There's no ac but having windows open and using block fans made it work well. There were tons of bugs around, but that's to be expected. Would definitely come back!」

「Beautiful historic log cabin with all the amenities you would want. The grounds are well kept and very scenic. The area is very peaceful, relaxing, and interesting. This is our second year coming to the Marcel Lodge and have had a fantastic experience both times.」

「We had an outstanding 6 night stay at this property on Island Lake, northern Itasca County. The amenities were great from the well stocked kitchen, lake toys, board games to the kids toys. Dave was an excellent responsive host, thanks much. 」

「Coming from the Twin Cities, this was a very pleasant four hour drive north into a wonderfully secluded lakeside cabin resort. While we didn't fish (it seems perfect for it), we did enjoy our time fixing a few slow meals in the cabin, getting out on the lake, watching the stars at night, and checking out a few nearby spots, like the county fair (that just happened to be perfectly timed with our trip) and bars/restaurants. Really beautiful land up by Northome, and recommend the stay for the area!」

We even had three deer walk right by our cabin. Kristen and Josh were absolutely phenomenal host. One night the electricity went out. So we decided to go to get something to eat in the pouring rain and super dark out, ended up putting our truck in the ditch and couldn't get it out a nice couple gave...

The listing wasn’t completely clear that the property was a part of a larger condo building with other guests staying right next door and there were a lot of flies and beetles on the floors and walls. 」
