“Extremely disappointed. Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. Suffice to say, when I booked I was not expecting to be staying in a bedroom in someone’s house. Unable to get a refund dispute the proof I supplied that the booking was misrepresented. Please avoid Hotels,com are fantastic, had countless enjoyable experiences when booking with them. This……

“Setting was beautiful. Room very comfortable but too hot. Heated towel rail in room 10 was far too hot and couldn’t be turned off. Otherwise stay was very good.”

“Really great location and easy check in and out but the room was SO hot we couldn’t sleep, there was a fan but it didn’t do much. Our windows also opened into the balcony which didn’t feel very private ”

“Lovely Breakfast included. Owner was very attentive and made you feel very welcome. Only downside was that the shower head would not stay up and was held up by blue tack. Room was cold, but staff quickly sorted this. Food was great. The pub is very pretty!”

“Bed was soft and mattress tilting me floorward. Shower tray was blocked, cutting short my shower. The bathroom sink was the size of a dentist's spit basin making it impossible to shave. Lights in the communal corridor didn't switch on with any of the switches so be sure to have a torch with you to safely stay this hotel. No bedside table or power socket anywhere near the bedside. I wouldn't stay here again.”

“This was the most beautiful stay. It was like we stepped back in time and were featured in a Jane Austen movie. This property was picturesque and out in the country. There are lovely walking paths which take you by a pond and fiekds of sheep. This was the peace we needed. We highly recommend Rushton Hall and we will be back. ”
