The check in process started good until we learned that the property was under renovation and breakfast is a grab and go bag. That was disappointing but not that important to us. However it was the bathroom situation that repulsed us. The tub was yellow and the shower knob looked moldy. We mentioned the situation to the front desk and to see if they could clean it but was told cleaning crew was not available but if we want we can be provided with material to clean it ourselves. The manager was not available to talk. Her number was given to reach out to her on Monday. But it was pointless because we were only there for one night. That was room 132 on the first floor. If you are accommodating guests then you have to make sure that the room is clean. I’ve stayed at othe Laquinta before and this experience has ruined any future booking with Laquinta.

The hotel is being remodeled which is a good thing. The staff was pleasant. Our room had been refreshed and was clean. Our problem was the breakfast area was under construction so they just had a very skimpy carry away bag with little to choose from for breakfast. If you advertise free hot breakfast, you should let people know when they book that it is not available.

I specifically requested a room where no pets are allowed due to my wife's allergic reaction on occasion times. I was told not to worry since pets are only allowed on 2nd and 3rd floors. The ver next day, there was a dog barking in one of the rooms along the hallway. I questioned the receptionist and she told me that pets are allowed on 1st floor only. This was totally the opposite of what i was told the previous night. I was not happy with the situation of confusion with the stuff. How could they not know whick rooms the pets are allowed?

The hotel is undergoing significant renovations but they failed to disclose this when I made the reservation. The place is not suitable to stay, it is dirty, full of construction debris. On top of that they have the audacity to take a $250 hold and they said it is a bit higher "because of construction". The hotel was under construction, which isn’t that big of a deal, however, that led us to not having a microwave or a fridge in our room, and the lock breaking on our door eight times. Four times a day. Making us late for the competition for which we needed the room in the first place. It was a complete inconvenience not to mention a safety issue. We also were told not to use the stairs and in case of a fire that is a huge hazard. Additionally, there was no phone in our room and our TV didn’t work. We also did not have hot water the first night. The manager of the hotel agrees that I deserve a refund for this day.
