The kids love getting to explore the tide pools that you can access by just walking out the back of the property.

Great House

Wonderful large house with a great view! We loved our stay there. We all enjoyed the tide pools and rock hunting in the front yard. Plenty of room for a large family. Will definitely stay there again.

Perfect for our family/ siblings trip. Only negative would be the condition of the windows, either the seals broken or they are dirty, makes the view not as nice

Nice get away

The house was just what we needed. We loved the views, large kitchen, mattresses, fire pit and hot tub. There is no air conditioning but the house cooled down with open windows. recommendation: better hose to rinse off feet and windows (for the great views).

There was something for everyone. Sandy beaches, rocky beaches, tidepools, agates and a hot tub. What more could you ask for? We will certainly be booking again for our family getaways.

What a Get-Away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ocean Odyssey is a wonderful get-away. The upstairs has been remodeled and ocean views and beach walks will never disappoint. The downstairs living area being 1/2 underground, however is much darker and with the paneled walls just doesn't have the same feel. When we stayed, there was a burn ban for the outside firepit, the fire dept had restricted the use of the fireplace indoors which was a shame. My only worry (that was phoned in immediately to the rental agency) was the lack of fire alarms--only 2 in the whole house. Evidence of several others showed bare wires. This mammoth home should have had many. I assume this was remedied after we left.

Beautiful Upgrades but House is Dirty

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at this house almost every year for the last 10+ years. The last few times the house has been very dirty and in need of repairs. Last year rennovations were made on the house and they are beautiful however the house was still incredibly dirty: Mold in the tracks of the sliding doors, the chandelier glass was filthy, kitchen appliances new but smudged with what might be cleaner?, layers of dust on the mini blinds, the couch and pillows smell very dirty and the rug in living room smells of pet urine, large amounts of dust and dirt spots on new plank flooring but worse of all was the mouse poop in the kitchen drawers including the utensils. It's hard to pay almost $600.00 a night when the house is this dirty. Wish we could say we'd be back becuase we love this house but we'll most likely be finding a new yearly rental.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the check-in time of 4:00 PM, we found the bed linens and towels dirty. Some linens were heaped on the floor; most were still on the beds. Floors had not been adequately swept.We called Ocean Odyssey, who told us the previous tenants had been friends of the owners. We did not understand why this was a good reason for us to accept the dirty conditions.We waited nearly two hours for somebody to arrive and begin the cleanup. He said he had never been in the house before; he obviously did not know his way around the house, and maid service did not seem to be his primary talent.One member of our party is 100 years old; another is 96. For them, the trip from Eugene had been a major undertaking, and they were quite uncomfortable when they could not use the bathrooms or lie down for a rest until hours after we had arrived.

We loved the beach area and the easy access to it. This house was my favorite of all the houses that we’ve rented. I appreciated having two dishwashers and ovens. The house seriously lacked nothing. There was space for everyone to spread out. Best vacation ever!! Loved it!!

Magical Location, Magical House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home (it really feels like home) is one of the hidden gems of the Oregon Coast. Giant windows make it cozy and scenic no matter the weather. A huge kitchen and plenty of socialization space make it the ideal place to gather our favorite people. The beach is simply incredible--nearly-private, craggy, beautiful, unforgettable. We'll continue to come back here at least twice a year for as long as we're able to do so.
