Everything was very good. Room could use a bit of updating. Beautiful new bathroom. Included breakfast was very good compared to many I have had. Small market next door. ATM on property.

Really nice staff who didn't understand english that well but never failed to try to help and always succeeded in the end...free shuttle buses helped costs...great FREE breakfast with smiling, friendly servers...good internet and tons of hot water...would stay nowhere else if in Yangon...

This is the second time I'm staying at this hotel since 2014. We chose this hotel because they have family rooms that can accommodate our large group. Their rooms were spacious, breakfast and fitness center were also great. My only complaint is there was a moldy smell in one of the rooms. I also felt that they could've arranged non-smoking rooms on higher floors. We stayed on the 6th floor, but the hallway was still full of cigarette smell from the lower floors. Other than the smell the rooms were pretty clean.

The hotel is close enough to walk to the market.. about 20 minutes.. not too noisy which is great. I am staying in a top class hotel now and to be honest this hotel is no where near as noisy . Has a supermarket/ chemist next door Staff were brilliant.. and the breakfast very good... definitely recommend 😀

It was a good hotel to stay for a family. Only draw back is one washroom only in a one bedroom configuration. With so many Indians travelling to Yangon some Indian food options in breakfast would be off help

Best balcony view ever
Ever so tired wallpaper and a few dead plants in the corridor, but the view from our Junior Suite balcony more than made up for the small imperfections. Good breakfasts with a big choice. Grab taxi easiest way to get around. Hotel to 19th Street around 2000kyats

Easy access
Next door,you have a supermarket, noodle and bakery shop. Believe it covered, pretty much what you need. A short taxi drive,bring you to mega shopping mall and hotels. No regrets..it my 5 stayed...

staff are friendly and polite. Free breakfast has variety of delicious food. The only problem I had is that the toilet paper is too small, fragile and very poor demarcation lines for tearing.

Near National Museum Yangon, short ride to downtwn
Short Taxi ride is 2000 kyats to Shwedagon Pagoda and 3000 kyats to Bogyoke market (as at Mar 2018). Check out with Hotel on their free shuttle to major attractions. As per our rating given, plus good value price booked from Expedia, make our stays wonderful.

The staff were extremely warm and helpful, and the room was pretty clean. Free bottles of water were restocked each day, which was helpful given how tap water in Myanmar isn't fit for drinking. The breakfast spread was quite diverse, too. The only gripe I have is that the wifi in my room only seemed to work in the bathroom.

Good enough for a few days in Yangon
Requested a double bed, but received a room with two twins, but the fact that they got me any room during my extremely early 6:30am check in, made up for it. Not far from the temple and a nice shopping mall is 15 minutes away on foot. Nice gym with cardio and some weights. Superb breakfast! Dinner in the restaurant was good too.

Really, who wants to stay in a hotel just directly opposit a hospital. Matter of fact the hotel was used to be hospital as well and it was converted. Worse bathroom lay-out. The shiwer head was just behind the bathriom door and i meant just behind. Strange. The whole bathroom got wet when you showered. You can smell the toilet right at your bed because there is a window from the bed open to the toilet. Really strange. Location is near nowhere. SERVICE IS EXCELLENT

Excellent stay & service in Yangon
We had an excellent stay at Hotel Grand United and were extremely pleased with the hotel staff! We booked a standard double bedroom for one night at a very reasonable price for the off-season (early October). We arrived at the hotel at 7am after taking an overnight bus from Kalaw to Yangon and the hotel staff unexpectedly checked us in early, upgraded our room, and provided us with a complimentary breakfast. After we checked out the next morning, we stored our luggage at the hotel all day and were able to shower in the gym before heading to the airport. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, had a nice view of the city, and was well stocked with bottled water. The restaurant offered a wide selection of food for breakfast. Because hotel is a bit outside of the city center, it provided free daily shuttle service to a few of the major tourist spots. We used this service once, but actually found the hotel to be a nice walking distance from many activities/sites, including the Shwedagon Pagoda. We highly recommend this hotel and will suggest to any friends visiting in the future.
