"The hotel was excellent and served its purpose as a base for a few days. The overall hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to single out the three staff who worked in the hotel bar on Sunday 5 July. The restaurant was closed. The bar was short staffed and the three people who were working went above and beyond. The bar was full due to the World Cup football match. Customers were lining up to come in, wanting food and drinks and a place to watch the game. The staff accommodated as many as they could. Offered food and drinks and dealt with the overwhelming number of customers, in a professional and friendly manner. I understand that they were short staffed but the two men and one woman didn’t get flustered or upset. They went above and beyond serving way more people than was expected and doing it with a smile on their face. While I am sorry I do not know their names, I hope management review the work roster and provide these people with an official acknowledgment of the work they performed. Thank you."

"I booked this hotel because it’s owned by Trolltunga Active, the company I was hiking Trolltunga with, and I’m glad I did. My room was comfortable, the beds especially so, which matched the reviews I’d read beforehand. Everything was spotless and cutely decorated. The breakfast buffet was awesome, served in a bright, windowed, almost greenhouse-like restaurant overlooking a rushing mountain stream. It was raining the morning I ate, but it still felt like I was sitting outside, which was really cool. The restaurant was clearly popular, it was fully booked for dinner, so definitely make a reservation in advance. I wish I had! Parking was easy with plenty of space, and the location was perfect for getting to downtown Odda, the waterfront, and the Trolltunga trailhead quickly."

"Breakfast was excellent. Particularly enjoyed the ginger/applejuice drink and the perfectly cooked eggs in the morning. Coffee was good, much better than many places I have stayed. Team was amazing, providing for our needs. Parking was fine outside the property. Overall an excellent experience."
