The staff (consisting of the owner's Nepali family) is very helpful and friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast (added cost) is excellent. The place is located within easy walking distance of York's points of interest. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Our host was extremely helpful, courteous and an absolute pleasure. The room was clean, comfortable with everything we needed and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location was great - close to the city centre and the Barbican, which is why we chose it. We would definitely stay there again if we were overnighting in York.

The host was very kind and helpful. The Barbican is located just outside the wall, which is brilliant, as inside the walls is quite noisy until very late. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place

Barbican House was amazing, the owners were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was beautiful so much that we ordered it for our second morning as well. The room was a lovely size and beds were very comfy.

Lovely accommodation in a charming house

Lovely family-run B&B, walking distance from the city center. They were kind, helpful & accommodating to our early bag drop-off too. The room is spotless, comfortable & I would return for sure!

we stayed at Barbican House as we were going to the Barbican theatre, 2 minutes walk away. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee to choose from. Breakfast was good to. Parking was a bit tight but the owner parked the car for me and it fit in well.
