“A good central location with parking about 200m away. Easy contactless check-in. The property was generally in very good condition, except some damage to the sofa cushion and a blind pull was unattached. Good bed, excellent shower and large TV. Some welcome gifts (tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, spounge) were very helpful. The room was made up each night too which I didn't expect. Overall very good and perfect for my business stay.”

“Friendlness of staff and location.”

“The hotel actually has two sections on two sides of the bridge. We were expecting to be on the water side but was disappointed. The room only has a small window facing the back of the hotel. Nothing impressive at all. The staffs were not helpful on anything. We were asked by the front desk to go across the bridge to make booking at the hotel restaurant. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Value for money was exceptional and the staff are outstanding. We were made to feel so welcome and our every need met. We had dinner one evening which was super and a hearty breakfast every morning - all great quality. Also loved the relaxed scandi vibe of the hotel… the lobby is lovely to sit in. Would highly recommend! ”

“This was the first time that we had stayed at the Holiday Inn in Barnsley. Although we used to live in the town so we had visited the hotel many times for functions and meals . The hotel was clean but in need of a refurbish. However the staff more than made up for any downsides, they delivered exemplary service. ”
