Zell am See Bar Hotel

"We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When you enter , the lobby area is nice . And that’s about it. The room we stayed in was dated and the carpet was full of stains. In a 4 star hotel the standards for cleanliness should be higher. We had the most unpleasant experience for 2 days at breakfast. We walked in the restaurant and waited to be seated. The majority of tables were nicely done . The hostess had a hard time locating our name on the guests lists and when she was able to confirm...

"Travelled with a group of friends and several children. The hotel is charming, the bulk of the main building being very old with some modern additions to the rear. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. We all went half board and were well fed with good food. Breakfast was a wealth of choice, both continental and some English staples. "Excellent hotel, located right in Zell am See and a 5 minute walk up to the gondola at the ski field. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable and had a decent balcony. Both dinner and breakfast were really decent, and I definitely would stay here on my next trip. "

"Excellent and professional staff great location, free parking, and clean room However, the refrigerator wasn’t cooling but was heating! Internet wasn’t connecting in the room. The room has mosquitoes and there is no AC with hot weather opening the windows will lead to have more mosquitoes. Also there wasn’t enough electric outlets "

"Friendly and welcoming staff at reception, breakfast and cleaning. Good parking right outside and an easy walk to town and lake. Spacious simple rooms with benefit of firm pillow option. No coffee or even cups in the room, although a little boiled sweet awaited us. Nice to balcony seats. Beware corner room for continuous road noise. "From Zell Am See train station we walked to PostPlaz to take Postbus 71 to hotel, only a few stops about 5mins away. Bus stop near to the hotel. We stayed 2N and hotel staff was nice to give us the room on 4/Flr with lake view. The hotel has lift so no issue with luggage. Although hotel is not at the city central, The Kaprun Card given by hotel was a bonus, free use of cable cars. The Smittenhohe cable car station is located short walking distance away.
