“My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in mid June. First, compared to other resorts that are within walking distance of downtown. Avila has the best private beach. There are plenty of beach chairs and palapas. The outside areas are well maintained. The staff was friendly. On that topic, it does take some time to get used to “island time” some cultures (especially American) might perceive the bar service as slow or inattentive, but others perceive it as laid back. “Property, no complains. AC worked great. Showers were perfect. Walkable to the city to see all the colorful buildings. Just make sure you get WATER to bring in your room bc reception is closed from time to time especially in the early mornings when you want it most. For a hostel the beds were actually very comfortable. You can use the pool and jacuzzi that is associated with the hotel across the parking lot. Highly recommend!! There is a full kitchen and dining area. Just make sure to buy bug……

“The property is beautiful in the historical area of Curacao. The host greeted us at the door with cold water. We were pleasantly upgraded to a larger room with a balcony. Each floor, including our room, had an espresso machine including coffee and tea. The fixtures and furniture were all new and the rooms were spotless; lots of interesting vintage decorations. The property is a short walk (10 mins) to Puna/swing bridge; there are plenty of restaurants on both sides of the water. Would highly……

“This was a great boutique hotel for our stay in Curaçao. The restaurant attached was phenomenal. The location was prime. The staff was very helpful and polite. Our stay at this hotel was very personalized, and made it very special. We will definitely be back to Curaçao, and stay at this same hotel.”

“Housekeeping was really lacking. Hallways were dirty and room wasn’t cleaned very well and they only come every other day. But other than that it’s a really nice cute hotel right near beach access and staff was really nice”
