Shasta Cascade Beach Holidays

Room was clean and front desk staff were nice. The shower was very outdated and difficult to work with the older fixtures. The plug for the tub got stuck and the tub drained very slowly. The knob on the plug fell off when we tried to pull it up to drain. The mini fridge was completely full of minibar food and alcohol, so that it was unusable. When we asked the front desk to clear our minifridge out so we could use it for refrigerated medication, they kind of stalled and acted like they were going to charge us to use it. We should not have to beg for a functional fridge space. Rooms are ok, but if you are facing the street, you can hear people talking at normal volume on the street like they are inside your room. (We were on 5th floor). Windows and walls are very thin and not sound dampening. Blackout curtains were good, but the electronic controls were glitchy and didn't always work. When I checked out I was overcharged. I was in a hurry to the airport, so I noticed the extra charge when I was on the bus. I called and it took them several minutes on hold to figure out why I was charged more than what I was promised with my prebooked reservation. They did end up refunding the overage, but it was annoying to deal with. I would not choose this hotel again. The staff are nice, but it doesn't seem to match the pricing they charge. The location was very convenient to the metro and K-town food spots though. We did run into several unpredictable/scary unhoused people in the area.

Best place to stay in LA. Sunrise/sunset walks on the marina were the best part. Lots of restaurants on the marina and free bike use, close to the bike path straight to Venice beach Will 100% be staying there again

Good
