Unbelievable stay! Staff, facilities, location, view! All 5*

This hotel offers an excellent location near major attractions and features incredibly friendly, helpful staff, including a great concierge team. However, the early check-in process was highly frustrating after a long 14-hour flight. Despite paying and being approved for an early arrival at £20 per hour to freshen up, the room was not ready when arriving at noon and would not be available until the standard 3:00 PM check-in time. While the hotel did refund the £60 fee we paid, the breakdown in communication forced a long wait and required checking luggage rather than settling in as planned.

My favorite hotel in London… until it wasn’t. This used to be my go-to hotel in London, but over several stays I’ve noticed a steady decline in service. The positives: spacious, comfortable, spotless rooms and consistently excellent housekeeping. Unfortunately, my last stay changed my opinion. At check-in, I specifically requested a quiet room facing the interior courtyard because I’m a very light sleeper. Having stayed here before, I knew exactly what I wanted. I was assured it wouldn’t be a problem, but was assigned a second-floor corner room facing the parking lot and street. When I returned to the front desk, I was told my request would be noted and I might be moved the next day. The room’s air conditioning also made a constant running-water noise all night, making sleep nearly impossible. The next morning, the front desk had no record of my previous request and sent maintenance to inspect the AC instead of addressing the room change. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication—simply telling me no quieter rooms were available would have been appreciated. Breakfast pricing was also confusing. Expedia listed breakfast at about $26 USD for my stay. I paid £20 for one breakfast, then watched another guest pay £15 for the same meal. Staff couldn’t explain the difference. The breakfast was average, and the café around the corner offers better quality and value. At this price tag, there are better hotels with more consistent service and customer care.

Really great experience. Loved this hotel, had a great vibe and look. Hotel was pristine and the staff were great. Five stars all around. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend!!
