I knew this was the perfect hotel the moment I stepped out of the metro and saw it across the street. Super convenient location. Beautiful lobby. Luxurious room. Delicious breakfast.

Very very large room with unobstructed view of the city. Great amenity and an amazing breakfast buffet. Very hospital staffs. Definitly a must stay in Yilan.
We used Yilan as a base and took the train to Hualin to visit the Taroko National Park. This hotel locates about a km away from Yilan train station, best to go with a short taxi ride.

I've been staying at this property for nearly 20 years. Love the location and the coziness of the property but it is definitely showing its age and needs a major refresh. The wood paneling that are throughout the rooms and property is showing lots of nicks and other wear and tear. Also it appears that since the guests seems to be mainly retirees the staff is less geared towards helping business travelers. The staff was also less friendly and glad to help as before. When asking simple requests I was met with frustrated facial expressions. Hope they bring it back to the way it was before.

We stay at Palais de Chine every time we travel to Taipei. We always receive excellent service here and the location is in a very convenient location, just right next to the HSR, MRT, airport MRT, main station, and Q-square department store. It connects to the underground mall, which is very convenient. There are plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby.

The rooms are clean, but it’s very small and not sound proof (you can hear conversations in the hallway clearly through the door). For the price I would aim for something a bit more luxurious. Everyone was very nice though :)
