「It is a beautiful hotel, whereas it is really dark inside, also in the room (except of course when artificial light is switched on). Staff in general was not super friendly, with the exception of reception and the lady making the eggs. 「Das Hotel war sehr gut und der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Innenstadt von Funchal ist per Fuß erreichbar. Der Garten und auch das Haus haben uns sehr gefallen. Die Terasse, wie auch die Inneneinrichtung sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal an der Rezeption und der Zimmerservice waren super nett! Im Restaurant war das leider nicht der Fall. I like this hotel so much, peaceful and beautiful! from the hotel. You can see the sea! The beautiful view! And five star service! And the bar has performance on Thursday! It's really nice! And you can enjoy your breakfast and lunch near the sea! The design of hotel is perfect and there is also a nog beautiful swimming pool and gym! I like it!」

「Big hotel. Big rooms. Great pools. Modern, with conference style feel. Remarkable buffet, no need to go up the road and pay extra. Chocolate fountain on two nights. No decaff tea - go next door to the cliff after dinner for that. VidaMar suited us as a great base (we didn’t rent a car), we used bus or booked trips. The ‘west’ jeep discovery tour is a must. Plus all the other go-to places. Walk to Camera de Lobos and get the bus back. Madeira exceeded our expectations. 」
