“ Beautiful hotel that has had a lot of work done to it recently. But I was annoyed that we had to pay £5 a day on top of our hotel bill for parking in the hotel carpark. Plus the pillows were very hard & uncomfortable, & there was only one socket available to use in the room. ”

“We loved the tranquility of Cavendish. The view from rooms 1&2 were breathtakingly beautiful . The green rolling hillsides with buttercups were lovely and relaxing. The staff was incredibly engaged and helpful. Adele at the front desk was amazing as was Tony who was very helpful. Stuart Bond as our server was upbeat , friendly and accommodating to our needs. The food was delicious. We look forward to returning . ”

“Location was spot on, and the property was ideal for four of us. Beds were comfy and all was good bar a lack of electric from the plugs on the top two floors which ruined my plan to spend the weekend in the jacuzzi bath! We didnt contact the owners as it caused us very little bother. There are approx 20 varied pubs within half a mile, heaven.”

“Stayed here over the Christmas 2023 for 7 nights. As many reviewers have commented, the property is furnished to a high standard, with particularly comfortable beds. Some of the best we’ve had in a rental. The house is well located with views of Carsington Water and pub within walking distance. Lots to see and do within a short drive. We had arrived late in the night and the restaurant was closed but the staff kindly prepared us food which was delicious. The room was clean and the bathtub is great to soak in after a long day of sightseeing! ”
