「First of all , Tom is a lovely host friendly and had suggestions for dining and taxi service . Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for moving around . Breakfast was very hospitable and yummy food provided with company at one table with the other B&B persons. My only issue was that four rooms shared a bathroom on the second storey so maybe a suggestion would be to have potentially scheduled shower times or cleaning supplies to share between persons visiting . Thanks 」

「It was a really cute bed and breakfast. The shower wasn't the best I almost flooded the bathroom. But it was cute and the staff and environment were great. 」

「First time staying here and we weren’t disappointed. Room was spacious and airy , bed very comfortable. Welcome pack was good. Shower was great and bathroom was immaculate. My only suggestion was to add a handrail inside the shower and maybe a small corner shelf for shampoo, conditioner , shower gel it’s much better for someone disabled. 「Mary, our host, was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The Gables is a cute, quaint building. Our room and bed were on the small side but both were comfortable. Easy bus ride from Edinburgh and train ride from Glasgow. 」

「Nice lodge, spacious family room. Very quiet location. Only disappointment is Hotels.com advertised it as providing full breakfast but basically you were given access to a communal kitchen where cereal, toast, jam, juice cartons and some fruits were self service. We didn't mind so much but others who are expecting a proper fry up breakfast may be dissatisfied. 」
