“We stayed at this home for our daughter’s graduation from SIU with family. The house is fabulous and everyone commented it was a wonderful place to stay. Only 8 mins to SIU campus, but out of the rush of all the traffic that was in town. The mattresses were super comfortable! While we didn’t use the pool or pond, we certainly would have if we had more free time. Highly recommend!!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint, warm and welcoming place. The room was large and filled with antiques. We could see the river from our room. The service was excellent! We had a nice dinner one evening and a wonderful breakfast on Sunday. The sack breakfast on Saturday was perfect to take with us and start our day enjoying the beautiful fall day and National Forest. “We really enjoyed this unique property as we explored southern Illinois and western Kentucky. This house had everything we needed. Spacious bed, step-in shower, fast wi-fi, kitchen, and patio. It was close to the water and some shopping. The communication with the host was excellent. ”

My wife has a skin sensitivity and we have come accustom to using only soaps that have no smell. The bed linens and bath towels were washed with a scented detergent and for us was a bit too much.
