"Was good an affordable and in the centre of Melbourne"

"When they say a compact room they mean compact. No table or chair. Barely enough room for 1 suitcase. The shower was so small when I bent over to was my feet my head pushed the door open. Wouldn't recommend compact room if you were a couple on a longer stay. Nice and handy to restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommended adding the breakfast to your stay."

"Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. Even though the rooms are on the compact side, it was perfect for what I needed, and I felt very comfortable staying there for five nights. The decor is fun and modern, and the staff were incredibly kind."

"The Canvas Hotel was really comfortable with modern furnishings. The only downside was there were some really bad stains on the carpet in the bedrooms. The carpet either needs to be replaced or cleaned thoroughly. "

"I've stayed here numerous times. However, this time the room was not as clean, and no lamps by the bed. So it was either very bright lighting or leaving the bathroom door open for filtered light. Heating was excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Hadn't been cleaned up to normal standard. But will stay here again, as I'm hoping it was a once off. "
