Upon return to our room after dinner, there was a terrible smell in the bathroom (as the extractor was blowing air in!), however Darrell noted the issue carefully for their maintenance team and moved us to another room immediately. "The Knoll house hotel looks as though it could do with a lick of paint externally, but inside it is lovely. The food was good however the service on our first evening was rather slow. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours eating just 2 courses. It was much better on our second night. They accommodated my husband's need for gluten free food as he is a coeliac."
