「The photos online did not do the place justice - the place itself is FANTASTIC, very modern decor and spacious rooms. It is offsite but actually just at the end of the street, perfect location and you can easily stargaze at night just on your own driveway. A perfect place to stay especially when you plan to explore the Fiordland National Park or just Te Anau itself! 」

「It was our family holiday to travel around New Zealand from overseas. We booked two bedrooms in Marakura Deluxe Motel, Te Anau for 1 night so as to take Milford Sound cruise next day. It was a nice spacious ground floor 2 bed room with beautiful lake view, the kitchen is fully equipped, the parking space is just next to the building. However, after we Checked-out, we received an email telling us the bucket inside the rubbish bin was missing, asked us where the bucket was. Otherwise, the hotel...

「Room tidy and clean. Yet, there was an odour near the kitchen. Wonder if they have tried using deodoriser to eliminate that. The owner was nice and helpful. As we were leaving early for a trip, the owner allowed us to park our car early that morning before checking in. some construction work and road block nearby, he also gave us clear instructions on how to get in through the other way. Nice short stay apart from the odour. 」

「Room was clean and had cozy beds. Staff were friendly and very accommodating.」

「All Chalets are independent from each other (they don't share the common walls). So it is very nice not to hear voices (or noises) from your next door or upstairs / downstairs neighbors. Also the gentleman and lady I met at the front desk are very nice and respond quickly to my questions.」
