"We enjoyed sitting on the terrace drinking coffee and wine. Mario was exceptionally helpful with arrival, check-in and activity suggestions. Mario arranged a driver to take us to various locations along the coast. This experience was very memorable. We visited in February, outside of peak tourist season so the traffic was manageable. "Lovely historic property with a terrific staff, great breakfast (included) and a great bar overlooking the coast. Ravello is beautiful and quieter than the rest of the Amalfi Coast. Our room (especially the floor) could have been cleaner and the AC does not work well. Very comfortable room. Cabs are VERY expensive and the drive is long to get anywhere outside of Ravello. "The most magical place to stay! The Villa and staff are amazing! The massive grounds/gardens are incredible. "Villa Maria is a beautiful oasis in Ravello. Our family loved everything about our stay there. The rooms are well appointed, the food and views fantastic. Best of all the employees were truly wonderful. From the Maria-Grazie, Erika, Maria on the reception desk to Pepi and Nando in the restaurant and housekeeping (among many many others) we were extremely well taken care of. I just can’t say enough nice things about Villa Maria and the staff. And Lola the dog of course. "

"We took the bus from Amalfi up to Ravello/the last bus stop on the route and it was about a 10-minute (albeit uphill) walk from the bus stop to the hotel. Upon arrival, the man at the front desk was extremely welcoming throughout the entire check-in process. "Everything was perfect since we arrived. The staff were so kind going above and beyond at every step, the room had a beautiful view—it’s a bit far from the city but apparently they have a shuttle you can ask for in advance. We stayed in a room with partial seaside view but instead we got a full view! It was as pictured, with a terrace and view to ourselves. Even if you don’t get a room with a view, they have outdoor seating with the most amazing view, and there’s beautiful live music in the evenings from 8-8:30pm. They also have their private seaside/beach area and pool open to guests—many other beaches in the area are not free, while the hotels is both private and free for guests. When we went it was nearly empty, very private, and breathtaking beauty."
