「This is a small independent, dog friendly hotel. Its quite old fashioned, but the fact that it is independent makes up for any minor flaws...the staff were brilliant, frindly and efficient.」

「Gorgeous hotel, rooms were well appointed... No TV was an added bonus! Lounge area was lovely to sit in the evening, playing one of the many boardgames. Restaurant was a little cramped (but this might have been due to the beautiful Christmas tree that was on display) but the food was incredible! We will definitely be back!」

「Mainly stayed for Keswick Convention. Walkable distance from Base Camp and Main Tent at Skiddaw Street. It's quiet and near a scenic view from a river nearby. The lawn of the Hotel brings rabbits and relaxing atmosphere to guests. Friendly staff and great self-served breakfast. A good balance of price and service. Will definitely visit again.」

「Goodwin House was an excellent place to stay with convenient access to many beautiful walking trails and situated in the quaint town of Keswick. Liz and Chris are extremely kind and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!」

「We had a wonderful 3 night stay just after the New Year. The hotel is full of character, and the room we had was clean, spacious and well appointed. Service and food amazing. Not cheap but well worth the price given the experience we had. 」
