It was close to Custer State Park (I wanted to see bison), it was close to Sylvan Lake Lodge (trailhead for Black Elk Peak hike) and there wasn't a lot of light pollution at night, so stargazing was possible. The A-frame was cozy and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the heated mattress pad as it got down to 40 degrees overnight. The grounds were well kept and gorgeous... lots of pine trees, birds and deer. I would stay here again."
