"Comfortable guest house run by a sweet lady. Very homelike feel and a huge breakfast! A plus for me was the cat, Assi. She is very comfortable around strangers and likes to meow at your door for a visit. She does go to her own room at 9pm, so won't disturb your sleep. "

"The private onsens are free and fantastic, outdoor affairs with a view to the surrounding forest. The public onsen is quite simple, nothing exciting. Dinner is unbelievably huge and diverse (OMG!), breakfast is fantastic too. Staff is amazingly polite and helpful, rooms are beautiful and comfortable (a minibar fridge would be the perfect final touch)"

"Nice Japanese boutique hotel within walking distance to town. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

"We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. We had to drive under fallen trees, get out of the car to pull branches off road and hide in someone’s...

"Great location if you’re visiting Hyotan Onsen etc. En-suite showers are a little small, and the hot water isn’t very hot (which is strange for a hotel with a hot spring). Not a big deal though because you could just go downstairs and shower in the on site hot spring. The Rooms had a great view of the city and the sea. Overall pretty decent place."

"Terrible staff service. I stayed there for 4 nights because I just didn’t want to move my belongings but seemed like the more you stay, the more terrible they are. I don’t know do they have bias only for me or not but I felt it is. As I noticed the guest who only stayed 1 night or short time, They are very welcome and doing good service. From my opinion I pay money more. Either I stayed only 1 night but I also need fairness not bias. "

"When we arrived and checked in, and entered the assigned room, we quickly realized that the room was never cleaned from previous guests. The beds were all tossed, towels all over the bathroom floor, to of bottles and garbage on the counter. Lucky for me, my wife speaks Japanese and we were able to read the management company which resettled us in the same unit on the 2nd floor within about 15 minutes. "A great little hidden gem in this area - we stayed here as a stopover to our next location. Room was clean and super cozy. Staff was very nice and helpful with us settling in. Location is very quaint and I loved all the statues decorating the place. The bath was super nice! Would recommend staying here and getting the dinner & breakfast experience - the food smelt so good! "
